TECNARIA SYSTEMY

Existing wooden lofts often require strengthening and hardening inasmuch as they are made to bear modest loads; they usually present eccessive deformation with regard to the actual needs. New wooden lofts, to be resistent and hard enough require sections of elevated beams. In both cases it is possible to place over the existing structure a fine foundation of concrete, adequately reinforced and connected, notably increasing the resistance and hardness of old lofts, and allowing much more modest sections for the beams of new lofts. The connection is used to reclaim and construct coverings.
zoomThe laying of peg and hook connectors between the wooden beams and the concrete layer is necessary to allow the two materials to work together. the result is a solid structure where, for the effect of vertical loads, the concrete will result prevalently compressed, and the wood taut. The wood-concrete mixture is better than just the wood structure as it is more rigid and resistent, also the sound-proofing and the dynamic conduct (vibrations) is better.
The concrete foundation is an excellent technical technique in buildings in earthquake zones, as it enables load-bearing walls to be connected, creating a rigid surface capable of better resisting horizontal sysmic activity.

zoomTECNARIA PEG AND HOOK CONNECTORS have been created and well-tested to best join wood and concrete.
The efficiency of the connector is assured by the strong base plate , as a support for the peg, modelled as a hook in order to allow better adherence to the wood and to better absorb the cutting stress; the numerous laboratory trials have shown the absolute efficiency of this technique. In this case there are no instances of re-fulling, inevitable in the cases where the reinforcing is done by simple nails or screws.
